On Tuesday, September 22, the Sun will enter the Cardinal sign of Libra. Libra is the sign guided by Venus, the planet of love and abundance. This is the planet of the Divine Mother and the Divine Feminine and Divine Love. This energy is about balance and justice and making things as smooth as possible. Libra IS the balance, the scales, and it weighs all sides of an equation before making a decision. Since Libra is an Air Sign, this is about Air Energy. It always wants the truth, and preferably in a positive fashion.
This day is also the Fall Equinox. The Fall Equinox is when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length. Again, think of the scales and balance. It begins the first day of the Autumn season.
On Wednesday, September 23, Mercury will begin its shadow phase. This happens about two weeks before and two weeks after the Retrograde. Remember that Mercury is the planet of communication, so when it reverses, communications can go awry. The shadow period gives us a peek into what we need to rethink and revisit and re-edit. The retrograde period will begin on October 16th and continue until election day. On election day it will then turn direct. We will gain insights during this shadow period for understanding things later.
