These planetary meet ups are providing us with a once in a lifetime event! On December 17th, Saturn (the planet of rules, responsibility and karma) finally enters Aquarius to stay until March of 2023. It did briefly dip into Aquarius earlier this year, and that gave us a hint of what was to come. This is when the lockdown measures around the world started, which ‘forced’ us to find new ways to communicate and to stay in touch. Many people, schools and businesses have quickly moved online, and the rules of communication have been forever re-written. Now to start, Saturn in Aquarius can have a restrictive effect in the beginning (Saturn is the planet of restrictions and rules), however, since Aquarius is an Air sign of freedom, Saturn in Aquarius will give us the determination to break through existing structures to find new, more sustainable ways to live. If we look back in time, every time we had Saturn in Aquarius, we had important freedom and civil rights movements that forever changed the way our society operates. I believe that this year “2020” will be another period in history that we will look back upon, as a time that changed how we communicate for years to come.

On December 19th, 2020, we have another big astrology milestone. Jupiter leaves Capricorn and enters Aquarius, to stay here until December 30th, 2021. Jupiter changes signs only once a year, and when it does, it’s quite an event. Jupiter is the largest planet of our solar system, and it sets the topics, trends, and focus of the year. It is expansive energy that is associated with healing, prosperity, good fortune and miracles. Jupiter compels us to assess our ethical and moral values. We can expect some big news and revelations around this date. This news will pretty much set the tone for the whole year of 2021.

On December 20-21st, the Sun (which represents our identity and how we express our individuality) and Mercury (the planet of day-to-day relationships and communication) leave Sagittarius and enters Capricorn. This is when we will see the full understanding of what is about to happen and understand the implications (Capricorn) of the change. Jupiter and Saturn are literally moments from becoming conjunct. We know that this shift will bring a move towards freedom and restructuring. Capricorn represents government, and Aquarius represents people as a whole group/community. The corporations/businesses will experience a top-down restructuring. We will find new and innovative ways to communicate and stay connected personally and professionally. This will be a rebalancing of the “haves” and the “have nots”.

On December 23rd, 2020, Mars is square Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto in Capricorn is (Pluto) the government/the establishment, and Mars in Aries is the individual, the warrior. The two entities will clash because they have a different agenda. Since Jupiter and Saturn have just moved into Aquarius, Pluto is now alone in the sign of Capricorn. He is still there, still strong, but alone. Things may not go as expected. Mars (the individual/warrior/us) may win this time.

On December 30th, 2020, we have our last full moon of the year…a Full Moon in Cancer. What a “welcome” message for 2021. Our “old” values and understanding of life begin to collapse, as a new reality starts to emerge. This full moon will show us what our new future holds. It will be Goodbye, 2020. Looking forward to 2021, it will be quite a year! Looking forward to experiencing this and all the new opportunities ahead. This year has
prepared us for this big shift for our future!
